Edwards Duthie Shamash acted for a member of the Communication Workers Union in his efforts to seek compensation from the police who unlawfully forced entry into his home, with the intention of seeking to make an arrest. The Police acted on wrong information and the man they were looking for did not live on the premises. Proceedings were commenced in the County Court for damages arising out of the unlawful conduct of the police.  A Judge in the County Court successfully found in favour of our client, with the result that he received compensation for the wrongs that he suffered, together with an Order that the police pay his costs.
