Successful Outcome in Drugs Trial
Edwards Duthie Shamash acted for a client who was accused of conspiracy to supply cocaine. There were two other Co-Defendants in the trial. The case was particularly difficult because of what is known as a “cut throat defence”. The other two Defendants were blaming our client as being the only person responsible for the drugs. Our client’s defence was that he was innocent and the other two were, in fact, responsible for the drugs.
The case involved a lengthy contested trial, but with a successful outcome on behalf of our client. He was acquitted. The two Co-Defendants were convicted and sentenced to 7 years imprisonment.
Our client was represented throughout his case by Shaun Murphy and Shabaz Ahmed at Edwards Duthie Shamash.
