About

Abi joined the firm in March 2025 as a Criminal Defence Solicitor, bringing with her a strong and well-rounded foundation in both civil and criminal law. Abi’s legal career began after completing her law degree, when she joined a specialist criminal driving defence firm as a Case Progression Officer. Abi then worked as a Paralegal at a full-service firm in North London and at a city law firm in the dispute resolution and insolvency department. Abi qualified as a solicitor in September 2024, working for a firm in Westminster on a variety of civil litigation cases.

Experience and Areas of Expertise

Abi is developing a broad criminal defence practice, handling a range of matters from guilty pleas to contested trials. She represents clients in the police station and criminal courts, conducting both litigation and advocacy. She has worked on a variety of general crime matters, including:

  • Theft and dishonesty offences
  • Property offences
  • Public order offences
  • Drug offences
  • Sexual offences
  • Violent crime offences

During her time at a specialist road traffic law firm, Abi developed in-depth knowledge and expertise in motoring law and procedure, representing clients in a wide range of driving-related cased. This experience provided an understanding of technical legal defences and the ability to provide clear and strategic advice under pressure. Abi continues to work on driving matters to further strengthen her practice in this specialist area. Such cases include:

  • Speeding and ‘totting up’ matters
  • Driving without insurance
  • Driving while using a mobile phone
  • Failing to stop and failing to report
  • Failing to provide driver information (s172)
  • Careless driving and dangerous driving
  • Drink and drug driving
  • Death by driving
  • Driving whilst disqualified
  • Driving without a licence
  • Special reasons arguments
  • New driver and revocation matters

Qualifications and Skills

  • Solicitors Qualifying Examination 2 (University of Law)
  • Master of Laws in Legal Practice (LPC) with Business, Law and Management – Commendation (University of Law)
  • LLB Law (Hons) – 2:1 (University of Reading)
  • Champion of the Osborne Clarke Mooting Competition
