Michael’s major area of work relates to Commercial Property and Development and he also has extensive experience in Company and Commercial Law, Banking Law and General business negotiations.
Experience & Areas of Expertise
Major transactions include; acting for a provider of mezzanine funding for the privatisation of a public company for over £500 million; purchasing a portfolio of over 400 flats in central London on an expedited basis for over £130 million; acting frequently for clients in relation to acquisitions of property and subsequent lettings of up to £2 million rental a year to major supermarket and restaurant and retail chains; acting in connection with the introduction to clients and subsequent acquisition of a docklands industrial estate and its subsequent sale with residential planning consent at a 1000% profit; acting on the purchase of a prime flat in London for £21 million and sub-selling it for £27 million; acting on the purchase of a 22 acre site in the London suburbs for £17.5m which was subsequently sold at a price over £100m after planning permission was obtained.
He advises several major Medical Organisations and has been a Lecturer on matters relating to Medico/Legal structures and the Competition Act.
Michael also has a considerable experience in relation to the acquisition and sale, relocation and funding of Football Clubs, ranging from the Premier League to Non-League Clubs.
He acts as an Advisor to a number of National Charities and Organisations in many fields, particularly Arts and Education and has wide experience of the Commercial Sponsorship of Charities and their general funding. He has been involved on a pro bono basis in the funding, acquisition and construction of buildings for charities and schools to a value of over £65 million.
His interests include the theatre, sports and the arts.
