About
Zhina joined Edwards Duthie Shamash in September 2023 as Shaun Murphy’s Paralegal in the Criminal Department. During her time at EDS, she has worked on a wide range of cases in the Criminal Department including sexual offences, serious violence, terrorism and more.
Zhina achieved a 2:1 in her Law LLB degree from the University of Surrey in 2022. She then successfully obtained her Master of Laws LLM and Legal Practice Course in 2023 at the University of Law.
Zhina is currently attending Cardiff University for her Police Station Accreditation and looks forward to representing clients at Police Stations in the near future.
Zhina is fluent in Persian and Kurdish.

Prior to working at Edwards Duthie Shamash, Zhina worked as a Criminal Paralegal at Bark & Co Solicitors. She gained valuable experience working on high profile criminal cases that have received significant media news coverage. During her Law LLB, Zhina was granted an internship at Clifford Chance. This internship focussed on the global laws in connection with Human Rights Law. She was faced with several legal challenges and scenarios which has furthered her skills and abilities in the legal field.
