Notable recent cases include

  • R v C (2025) – This case arises from a multinational FBI/NCA investigation into paedophile activities on the dark web where criminal organisations host and share paedophile material. The investigation followed the identification of C by Australian, Danish and Dutch law enforcement as a user associated with “capping”. C thereafter distributed thousands of recordings. He was prosecuted for 44 separate offences.
  • R v F (2023 – 2025) – This Defendant is a psychiatrist who along with her co-accused (a nurse) was alleged to have created false Covid vaccination records suggesting people had been vaccinated when they had not. There were said to be hundreds of individuals provided with these false passports. The impact of the alleged offending both in terms of public health and public confidence was said to be significant. F was acquitted of fraud following her trial.
  • R v K (2023) – The Defendant was one of 10 charged with a wide-ranging conspiracy to supply class A drugs. The prosecution involved a combination of observation evidence, telephone download and call data. The supply of drugs was at the wholesale level with 60kg of cocaine seized following one arrest, and allegations that K was robbed of 3 kilos of cocaine whilst under police observation. Other Defendants pleaded guilty, but K was one of 2 to go to trial, where he was acquitted.
  • R v K (2023-2024) – Robert represented a father and son charged with 5 counts of fraud. They were jewellers accused of targeting vulnerable elderly women and defrauding them of £13 million worth of gold bullion.
  • R v K (2023) – The Defendant was one of 9 initially charged with conspiracy to murder. The prosecution’s case alleged a sophisticated conspiracy which spanned several months and involved gangs from London, Oxford and Newcastle, Gateshead, and South Shields. The Defendant was alleged to be a member of the London gang and to have driven the shooter from London to the Northeast where a gang rival was shot before returning to London. The prosecution relied on comprehensive cell site evidence, multi-disciplinary telephone evidence, surveillance evidence as well as eyewitness accounts. Our client was the only defendant to be acquitted after a 3-month trial.
