The loss of a child can be a traumatic experience for any parent. To be accused of being responsible for the child’s death can be the stuff of nightmares.

At the close of the Prosecution case the Judge agreed with submissions made on behalf of our client that the Prosecution evidence did not disclose a case for him to answer. The Judge entered a verdict of not guilty and our client was acquitted. This brought his nightmare to an end. Our client had been traumatised by not only the loss of his daughter but also the experience of having to stand trial in the Crown Court.

The child’s mother was convicted of infanticide.
