Samuel is based in our Stratford office, and he assists Simon May, Natalie Darko and Daniel Salter with their cases. He is an accredited police station representative and has represented clients at the station for a range of offences including murder, attempted murder, and historic sexual offences. He has represented clients at the police station in cases that have received media news coverage.

Sam is currently preparing to sit the Solicitors Qualifying Examination in 2024. He studied the Bar Professional Training Course and was called to the bar in 2019. His LLM dissertation focused on developments in the youth justice system since 1998. He was awarded with a distinction for his LLM dissertation. 

Prior to joining Edwards Duthie Shamash, Samuel worked as a paralegal for five years in another established Criminal Defence team. He has previously volunteered with the Citizen’s Advice and other charitable organisations.

Outside of work, Samuel attends the gym regularly, watches (and occasionally plays) football and enjoys running. He is also the chairman of Clapton Football Club, which is an amateur club that is widely recognised as one of the oldest football clubs in London.
