Acquittal in Stolen Shoes Case

Edwards Duthie Shamash successfully represented our client who appeared at Basildon Crown Court charged with dishonestly handling stolen Kurt Geiger shoes to the value of £193,000.

The case was dismissed at the close of the Prosecution evidence.  The Judge accepted a Defence argument that the charges as laid by the Crown Prosecution Service were misconceived.  Not only was our client acquitted, but she was also given the benefit of a costs order from central funds.  This means that all her legal costs are to be reimbursed from the public purse.

This case was dealt with throughout by our senior partner, Shaun Murphy.  He  prepared and also acted as the advocate in the Crown Court proceedings
