Re I (a Child) (2009)

Edwards Duthie Shamash were involved in proceedings before the Supreme Court concerning issues of international jurisdiction of the court for a child who was lawfully outside the European Union.  This landmark decision was the first  case involving child care issues to be decided by the newly constituted Supreme Court.  The case was dealt with by Bernard Huber, a partner of Edwards Duthie Shamash and a member of the Children Panel.  Bernie acted for the child who was the subject of the proceedings, instructed by the child’s Guardian.
