Introducing Edwards Duthie Shamash
As Senior partner of Edwards Duthie, I am delighted to inform you that Edwards Duthie is to merge with another firm of solicitors, Steel & Shamash, in June 2019.
Steel & Shamash have been based in the Waterloo area since 1981, their office is just a few minutes walk from Waterloo Station. They have a number of talented lawyers who have a reputation for providing a professional personal service based on the highest quality legal advice. We are delighted that they have decided to merge with Edwards Duthie. The combined firm will have a staff of 140 and will be a major force in the legal market.
The effect of the merger will serve to enhance the reputations of both firms, who have already achieved recognition in a number of different sectors, including testimonials in legal directories such as Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500. The combination of the two firms will build upon these achievements in a way that will enhance the services that the merged firm will be able to provide.
The merged firm will have offices in Ilford, Wanstead, Stratford and Waterloo. The addresses from which Edwards Duthie Shamash will be practising are as follows:
- 12 Baylis Road, Waterloo, London, SE1 7AA
- 37 Broadway, Stratford, London, E15 4BQ
- Bank House, 269-275 Cranbrook Road, Ilford, Essex, IG1 4TG
- 149 High Street, Wanstead, London, E11 2RL
Edwards Duthie Shamash will be able to provide legal services to a substantial number of individuals and businesses throughout the London area and beyond. The range of services we can offer is extensive and almost unique in terms of the areas of law that will be covered.
Across the merged firm there will be specialists in 22 different areas of law, the details of which will be available on our new website which will go live in early June. There will be few areas of law, concerning the needs of individuals and businesses, that Edwards Duthie Shamash will not be able to deal with.
We see the merger as an exciting opportunity for our staff, clients and others who decide to use our services in the future. The merger will also provide strength, depth and consolidation throughout the new firm, providing a springboard for further expansion and growth.
We are grateful to you for your support over the years and look forward to further opportunities for Edwards Duthie Shamash to provide services to you.
In the meantime, if there are any other matters you would wish to discuss arising out of the merger please do not hesitate to contact me.
