Shabaz Ahmed, assisted by Mohamed Abdirachid,  acted for YM, a defendant who was acquitted following a lengthy and complex multi-handed trial concerning allegations of conspiracy to kidnap, false imprisonment and serious assaults, tried at the Inner London Crown Court.

The case centred around an alleged multi handed conspiracy to kidnap two French nationals in order to steal hundreds of thousand of pounds worth of crypto currency.

Folowing the conclusion of trial proceedings lasting some eight weeks, YM was the only defendant to be found Not Guilty of all charges. 

The case received much press coverage and will be the subject of an upcoming BBC documentary.
