About
David qualified originally in Australia where he was admitted in 1969. He was also admitted as a Solicitor in England in 1977 and has practised in London since then.
He joined Cullen & Co in Stratford where he became a partner in 1980 and remained so until that firm ceased practice in 2001.
He then became a consultant at Mullinger Banks where he took charge of the firm’s criminal department. In October 2011, along with the partners of that firm, he joined Edwards Duthie Shamash on a consultancy basis. He will also practise there primarily in Criminal Law.
Experience & Areas of Expertise
Over a career spanning 40 years, David has represented clients charged with almost every type of offence, ranging from the most minor to the most serious, both in preparing cases for trial and appearing in Court as advocate. He also regularly attends police stations to advise clients upon arrest.
In addition, David advises regarding licensing issues and attends Council Committees to represent clients.
Memberships:
David was a founding member of the Newham Duty Solicitor Scheme and represented Newham on the Committee responsible for the operation of the Scheme throughout North East London for many years. He continues to attend Police Stations and Courts regularly in that capacity.
He is also a past president of the West Essex Law Society.
