An investigation, arrest or charge for a serious sexual offence has a stigma that few other offences can carry. We understand that the nature of the allegation itself will be troubling and stressful to our clients and their loved ones.
Allegations include:

- Sexual assault by penetration

- Sexual activity with a child
- Grooming
- Voyeurism
- Possession of / Downloading indecent images of children
The allegation(s) may be recent, or more worryingly, historic.
We will advise and assist at the earliest opportunity, aim to protect a client’s privacy during the investigation stage and we will do what we can to avoid a charge.
Your digital items
We know that phones, computers and other important digital items are often taken by the police during the investigation stage. Such items are important to our everyday lives, and we can negotiate with the police or apply to the court if necessary for their return.
We are regularly instructed by the National Education Union and other professional bodies to represent members facing investigation for sexual offences. Such offences are often said to be in breach of a position of trust, which is an aggravating feature. Most of our clients facing such allegations are not charged and the fact of investigation remains known only to them, the police and us.
