Izel will qualify as a solicitor in April 2024. Her current and final seat of her training contract is in Media Law where she assists Gerald Shamash and Alex Cochrane on a number of litigation disputes for high profile clients that are related but not limited to; defamation, privacy issues, breach of confidence and harassment cases.
Izel began work at Edwards Duthie Shamash as a paralegal, under the supervision of the Senior Partner. She gained extensive experience as a paralegal for approximately 2 years before securing a training contract. Whilst working full time as a paralegal, Izel also managed to complete her LPC at BPP University on a part time basis.
Prior to working at Edwards Duthie Shamash, Izel worked as a paralegal in a national Legal 500 firm based in Moorgate, specialising in Property Finance.
