Farah joined Edwards Duthie Shamash Solicitors in March 2022 having qualified as a Solicitor in 2017 and practiced in Legal 500 Law firms.
Farah completed all of her training as a Solicitor in private Family law matters and therefore is able to represent clients in all aspects of family law with a strong emphasis on divorce and medium to high net worth financial proceedings, with international assets. She also assists clients with the dissolution of civil partnerships, separations, disputes relating to children, including claims under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989 and disputes between cohabitees. She is confident in preparing cohabitation agreements, pre, post marital agreements, and finally is able to assist clients in injunctive proceedings.
With the increasing emphasis on the need for your marriage to be recognised as being valid, Farah is confident in advising clients about whether or not there marriage will be recognised as being valid in the United Kingdom. In the event this is not the case, she is known for providing constructive and effective solutions.
Farah is a member of Resolution, first for family law and so prefers to reach an agreement by adopting a non-confrontational approach.
She is known for her robust and tenacious approach in reaching the right resolution for her clients. She has also, been applauded for her ability to provide clear, concise and honest advice, whilst at the same time being empathetic to the clients needs.
In her spare time, Farah enjoys enjoy baking, spending time with her family and friends and attending motorsport events, such as drifting.
Farah is able to fluently speak to clients in languages such as English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.
