Marta has been in the legal sector since 2016 and she qualified as a Solicitor in December 2019. She undertakes work within all areas of Family Law. She joined the Family Department in Edwards Duthie Shamash in February 2022.
Marta has developed a particular interest in Private Law matters having worked in an all private practice prior to joining EDS. She deals with complex matters involving international aspects and specialises in Matrimonial, Children Act and Divorce proceedings. Having trained at a firm that dealt with Public Law, Marta also takes on Public Law matters including non-incidental injury elements. She has worked alongside QCs and successfully represented parents and grandparents in Care proceedings..

Marta is fluent in Polish and an active member of the Polish community in the UK. She is treasured by her clients who describe her as empathetic and understanding.
Outside of work, Marta is a member of an educational platform called Black is Polish, which aims to discuss aspects of race in modern Poland.
